Through my job managing hunting properties for my clients, I am blessed to step foot on hundreds of properties throughout any given year. I get to see farms in various stages of work and ongoing projects that will help landowners and leaseholders reach their stated goals. I also have been blessed to have grown up with a family farm that I have been allowed to call my own and manage how I see fit.
Over the last 20 plus years of managing my own farm, coupled with 10 plus years of managing my client’s properties, across numerous counties in North Carolina and Virgina, have allowed me to be able to diagnose problems and provide solutions to help my clients. Helping my clients achieve their goals for their farms, is my top priority. I feel blessed that I can draw from my experience as both a hunter and a land manager. All this done in order to leave my customer with a unique plan to implement on their property.
The main reason I can rest assured that my plan will work for the client is that I've seen so many different properties and overcome so many obstacles to help my clients achieve their goals. I also view everything through the lens of a landowner because I am one. I treat all of my clients’ properties as if they were mine and give them the same attention that I would expect to be paid to my property.
It is always important to consider that the wildlife manager you choose, has achieved the goals you are looking to achieve, for themselves as well. I’ve been managing land for wildlife for over 20 years. I've been deer, turkey, quail, and dove hunting for over 25 years, and I have been managing hunting properties for a living for over 10 years. I've harvested mature bucks on my own properties with bows, guns, and muzzleloaders and worked on properties for lots of clients.
I love to tell folks that I have seen properties that range from being extremely poor to properties that are in the top 1% of wildlife farms. I also love knowing that I have never seen a property that I can’t make better and I bring that attitude with me to every farm I visit.
