We at Petersen’s Wildlife Management identified a shortage in the availability of wildlife beneficial seed offerings many years ago. That led us to work to be able to provide high-quality and diverse seed offerings and blends to the public. We view different plant species as simply another tool in a toolbox that can be used to fix or solve shortages in forage, cover, soil fertility, erosion, low organic matter in soil, etc.
That's why we work so hard to offer many different seed species and seed blends to be sure we have what a wildlife manager needs to have the correct seed, tool if you will, to solve the forage production problems on their property. Our Plotstar brand of seed blends has been specifically formulated over many years of trial and error to meet a specific site’s soil, browse pressure, and fertility conditions, and still provide high-quality forage that's very attractive and productive.
We didn't just select a few seed species and throw them in a bag. We've planted many hundreds of acres of these blends ourselves and are constantly changing ratios of plants and species each season to ensure we are providing the best blends to our customers and wildlife possible.
