Field Day

Something I'm really passionate about and enjoy doing is teaching people how to manage their property for the betterment of all wildlife. I spend countless hours each year giving folks advice over the phone, via email, on social media sites, and through in-person consultations. I really enjoy seeing my shared experience being utilized by clients and ultimately them being successful in part by that shared information.

The ultimate form of this teaching is conducted at our seminars and field days. We conduct these field days at our home farm in central North Carolina, which has been under extensive management for 15 plus years. We get to show landowners and managers how we manage our farm to provide quality wildlife and share the habitat management techniques we've used to achieve our goals.

For me personally, I've never seen a better way to teach how to manage habitat than being in the field and getting to see the habitat types in real-time. We cover everything from how to choose a hunting property, property setup, dealing with different soil types, food plot installation, prescribed fire, food plot plant species and selection, equipment needs, wildlife trees, predator management, timber management, TSI, hunting strategies, and more. It's a great way for someone to get to see a well-managed property and take that knowledge home to their personal farm.
